As men we set the standard for love for our families. Our sons watch us to see how we love their mothers to determine how to treat their spouse in the future. Our daughters watch us as well so that they know what is the standard for love. Our wives depend on our love, and when we fail to give the love that God requires we start a ripple affect that can destroy generations.
Our role as husbands is a very powerful position and should be respected as such. If you would not want a man to break your daughters heart, you should remember that when you are responding to her mother because you are setting the standard.
