“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;”

Many times we are looking for the perfect mate. We want a spouse that meets all of our needs and does all the things we desire. The fact is marriage is a commitment to love our spouses, Past, Present and Futrue.
Past- Our mate comes with life experiences, some good and some bad. We must learn to love them and not shame them for who they were before you all met.
Present- We must love our spouses for who they are. Just as we have internal struggles we must understand that they have internal struggles as well. As we love them the way Christ Loves the Church we help them become who God has ordained them to be just as their love shapes us into the fulfillment of God’s plan for our lives. God places us together for the furtherance of his Kingdom and him Kingdom plan.
Future- The Woman you are married to will not look the same, feel the same, acts the same and think the same 20 years from now as she does today. This means our love has to evolve overtime just as our mate evolves.
Love is not something that we purchase and it stays the same forever, instead love is a gift and part of God that we get the opportunity to share with the one God created for us. It is patient, Kind, and Long lasting.
